Membership Requirements

Anyone is permitted to attend meetings and volunteer at events, regardless of their membership status. However, to be considered an active member and consequently have active member privileges, a certain level of committment to the organization is required which is determined via the number of points acquired by a member throughout the semester. Below are the requirements for each of our four levels of membership:

  • Honorary Membership, 0-4 points: Includes alumni, community members, or others, who are associated with the group but relatively inactive.

  • Basic Membership, 5-9 points: Can be obtained by attending at least half of meetings and/or special events. Requires minimal to no outside volunteering or participation. Not eligible for an executive board position.

  • Active Membership, 10-14 points: Can be obtained by attending more than half the meetings and special events. Eligible to run for an executive board position. Requires at least one volunteer activity per semester.

  • Prime Membership, 15+ points: Can be obtained by attending the majority of meetings and events along with volunteering and outside submissions. Eligible to run for executive board position. Receives rewards at end of semester celebrations. Given first consideration for limited seating events, invitations, and freebies given out in the group.
